MLH Goes Electronic!
After several years of debate, much input from membership, and much consideration of how to answer the concerns raised, your MLH Board has decided to join the 21st Century and begin sending our newsletter electronically! The fall issue of The Fiber Connection will arrive in your in-box around the 3rd week of October!
Why?
As with every other organization in this day and age, costs rise and revenues don’t. Your Board works to stretch each dollar received. Postage costs continue to rise and we would prefer not to raise dues. An electronic newsletter will provide significant savings for MLH. In addition, this should greatly improve communications. A newsletter will be sent quarterly, but we will also have the ability to send short notices of events that may come up between newsletters. In addition, we have relied on guild reps to disseminate much information. If you miss your local guild meeting or do not belong to a local guild, you will still have access to all pertinent MLH information.
Oh, no! I don’t have high speed internet service! Our newsletter editor, Cindy Greenfelder, will send the letter in a simple e-mail format. You will not have to download anything. Just open your email and it should be there.
I want my swatch page! You will still receive 4 swatches a year. All the swatches for the year will be sent at one time, to all paid members of MLH, in one mailing, probably in the summer.
I do not have access to e-mail. If there is no way for you to receive your newsletter via e-mail, please contact Ann Bont or Cindy Greenfelder. We will figure out an alternative for you. We do not want to leave anyone out!

What do I have to do to receive these newsletters?
Please be sure our membership chair, Linda Griffith (oldMIllyarn@acd.net) has your correct e-mail address. E-mail addresses tend to change and a small typo can derail anything sent to you.
Your MLH Board plans to evaluate the success of the electronic newsletter in a year. There are usually a few glitches whenever a change is made. PLEASE be sure Cindy or Ann are aware of any difficulty you may have with this new format. We want everything to work smoothly.
