One hundred and seventeen pieces were submitted by 57 artists. Forty-five pieces by 36 artists were selected.

MLH partnered with the Ann Arbor Art Center and as the host guild the Ann Arbor Fiberarts Guild made arrangements for a retrospective of Millie Danielson’s work to be exhibited in the smaller Spotlight Gallery.

The Opening Reception was held on September 11 from 6-8 pm hosted by A2AC. The MLH Awards Reception was held on September 13 from 2-4 pm hosted by the AnMLHn Arbor Fiberarts Guild and included a juror talk by Cathryn Amidei and short talks by 9 of the exhibiting artists.

Cathryn Amidei is a contemporary textile artist whose handwoven tapestries merge traditional craft with digital technology, creating complex and dimensional surfaces. She earned an MFA in Fibers from Eastern Michigan University, where she taught for 15 years, and has supported and taught weavers for over two decades with expertise in the TC-2 jacquard loom. Amidei is Director of the Digital Weaving Lab at Praxis Fiber Workshop in Cleveland, Ohio. Her practice explores themes of connection, motion, and interaction, often reflecting on natural spaces and the body as landscape. Her work has been exhibited nationally and is held in private collections.
