Zoom Workshop: Weaving with Wire – This 3-day workshop will include:
- Preparing a 3 yard warp out of wire, 3/8” to 1” wideBeaming the wire warp onto a 4-8 harness small floor or table loom
- Weaving the 3 yard woven metal warp to be used for jewelry or small sculpture
- Information on sculpting with woven metal fabric and various ways of connecting for different applications
- Lectures will include information about applying the woven metal fabric for basketry, jewelry, 3D sculpture, and bas-relief 2D wall art.
- Participants will have unlimited access to Christine’s online curriculum for continued support and learning.

Christine is a life long fiber artist with experience in weaving, sewing, basketry, embroidery, felting, dyeing, knitting, crochet, and fiber sculpture. She is a former visual arts educator with local, state, and national arts education recognition. She continues teaching in k12 programs as a Visiting Artist. Her book, Weaving with Wire: Creating Woven Metal Fabric, was published with Schiffer Publishing in June 2023. Christine conducts fiber related classes and workshops and is available for art commissions.
